The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting ready for their Divisional Round game against the Detroit Lions but have found themselves without two key players in practice to start the week.
According to ProFootballTalk, there were two key players who missed practice today: Wide receiver Chris Godwin and linebacker Shaq Barrett. Godwin is dealing with a knee injury while Barrett has an ankle injury.
Godwin had 83 receptions for 1,024 yards and two touchdowns this past year and four receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles in the Wild Card game.
Barrett had 4.5 sacks, 52 tackles and three forced fumbles but did not register any tackles against the Eagles.
Also absent today were running back Chase Edmonds and linebacker Yaya Diaby.
The Bucs held a walk-through today, but had it been full speed the team estimated QB Baker Mayfield as having full participation. That’s the first time he’s done that on Wednesday in three weeks. https://t.co/BZWqrBwCq8

There’s still two more days of practice before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to leave Florida and head to Michigan for their playoff tilt with the Lions.
But if Godwin and Barrett don’t mend by tomorrow, it may be a challenge to get them ready to play this weekend.
Will the Buccaneers be fully healthy against Detroit this Sunday?
