Another corner on the same night.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Kansas State cornerback Jacob Parrish with the 84th overall pick in the third round of the NFL Draft Friday night. Parrish joins a young secondary, including recently drafted in the second round Benjamin Morrison, to bolster Tampa Bay’s defense under Todd Bowles.
Over three seasons at Kansas State, Parrish played in 38 games, starting 24, and amassed 108 tackles (80 solo), 5.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, 5 interceptions, and 19 pass breakups. In 2024, he recorded 50 tackles, 1 interception, and 7 pass breakups, earning All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.
NFL.com Scouting Summary: Parrish is a compact, twitchy corner with quick feet and explosive closing burst. His press-man technique and route recognition shine in man coverage, though his 5’9¾”, 191-pound frame may limit him to nickel roles. He’s physical, tackling willingly, but struggles against bigger receivers and shedding blocks.
