TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A familiar face is returning to the sidelines in Tampa Bay.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Bucs have hired former USF head coach Charlie Strong to be their new defensive line coach.
Strong replaces Kacy Rodgers who left to become the defensive line coach for the Detroit Lions.
Strong, 64, went 21-16 in his three seasons with the Bulls. Prior to that, he served as the head coach at the University of Texas and the University of Louisville where he amassed a record of 53-36.
He most recently served as an analyst for the University of Alabama in 2023.
