TAMPA, FLA. (WFLA) — There are many questions now that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-8) are in the off-season following 23-20 its Wild Card loss to the Washington Commanders (13-5).
There are a handful of Buccaneers who are now free agents. Key players like wide receiver Chris Godwin and linebacker Lavonte David.
“I always said I want to go out on my own terms. I don’t want nobody to force me out. I want to put my best foot forward every time,” said Bucs linebacker Lavonte David.
Lavonte David has signed a series of one-year contracts over the past two seasons.
“I just feel like I can still impact the game and be more consistent in that area, but I do still love the game of football and that’s the main thing you know I’ve been playing the game since I was six years old and never missed a year and I think the love for football will always be there with me,” said David.
David says he has not made a decision on his future.
