TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa Bay Bucs safety Jordan Whitehead was injured in a car crash on Saturday morning, and will be out of Sunday’s game due to his injuries, the Buccaneers announced.
While on his way to the practice facility, Whitehead was involved in the crash, although the timing of the crash and severity were not disclosed.
Whitehead will not play in the game on Jan. 5 against the New Orleans Saints and was placed on the Reserve and Non-Football Injury list, according to the team.
The Bucs have signed Ryan Neal from the practice squad to join the 53-man roster.
