Erin Andrews’ job of being an NFL sideline reporter is not without its annoyances. Unfortunately, one of those annoyances came from a fan trying way too hard to get her attention.
On the latest episode of her Calm Down with Erin & Charissa podcast with Charissa Thompson, Andrews spoke about a recent incident where she was trying to interview Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield when a fan started yelling in her direction to give him a picture with her. She complained that it felt like being “an animal in a zoo” because of how he was treating her.
“I was standing — name drop — with Baker Mayfield before the game talking because I haven’t seen him for the past year and as I’m standing there, this guy was like ‘Erin, come over here! I want a picture!’” Andrews said. “I was just like, ‘Am I an animal in a zoo?’”
Andrews later recalled an even worse incident that took place on a plane, where a fan told her to “smile more.” She said that the man became rude so she retaliated with a “not nice word” in his direction.
Yeah, those fans should definitely lay off the drinking and be a little more respectful towards others in the future.
