TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — With the Bucs clinching a playoff spot, fans are fired up as they look ahead to the next steps in their postseason journey.
It was a rough start for fans cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the New Orleans Saints on the opening drives. But quarterback, Baker Mayfield led the charge connecting the dots to receivers like Mike Evans.
Evans is making NFL history, once again surpassing 1,000 yards, giving Bucs fans something to cheer about.
Fans inside Raymond James stadium erupted with every big play, with a must-win on the line. The Bucs finished strong, securing key plays on offense and defense to hold off against the Saints and punch their ticket to the playoffs. Fans said this victory shows what this team is made of.
“We to clinch to win, and you know what I think it kicked in, in the second half, that we were not going to get this given to us, and we needed to play like we depended on it because we did, and you know what we played like it in the end right there,” a Bucs fan said.
