TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Buccaneers fans are focused on the future as they come to grips with a wild card loss to the Washington Commanders.
Following the game one lifelong follower said, “Sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce our way, the flags don’t go our way but good energy tonight. It was electric tonight.” Even electric energy in the stands couldn’t carry the team to victory.
Last week, Head Coach Todd Bowles made it clear they’d have to limit penalties and not turn the ball over in order to walk away with a win. The team struggled in both areas during Sunday’s game.
Despite the disappointment, fans appreciate a hard-fought season.
“We’re looking forward to next year, hopefully, we can bring Baker back next year and resigning Rashaad White, Bucky Irving and do it again,” one fan said.
“Keep your head up, there’s always next season The team is looking great, we’re going somewhere,” a fan said.
