TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — USF Women’s Basketball is 4-2 in conference play, but on two game losing skid.
The Bulls hope to break that skid on Saturday against FAU.
However, head coach Jose Fernandez says it’s the non-conference schedule that prepares them for times like this.
“I thought it prepared us pretty when we started 4-0, but after losing these two in the fashion that we did, it’s uncharacteristic,” said USF women’s basketball head coach Jose Fernandez.
The Bulls are coming off a one point loss to UAB. The Blazers continue to hold a 24-11 all-time advantage against the Bulls. Junior forward Carla Brito led all scorers with a season-high 21 points and 12 rebounds, in her third double-double of the campaign.
“I think the one thing that Carla does really well she brings great energy and effort, especially on the glass,” said Fernandez.
